The rough idea of pane condito is a hot sandwich; done in a sicilian style. Although you can choose your favorite ingredients, Giusy introduced two variations: "Ham & Cheese", and "Tuna".
This list of ingredients will be composed of two parts: Must have's, and optionals. I'll also put a star (*) by the optional ingredients that were included in Giusy's ham and cheese pane condito, and a doble star (**) by the optional ingredients that Giusy included in the tuna and cheese sandiwch.

These ingredients can be whatever you and your eaters would enjoy. These sandwiches are difficult to mess up. Get some bread, put some stuff inside, then wrap it in aluminum and throw it in the oven.
Here is the step-by-step process
1) If your bread is not already cut in half, use a serrated knife, and cut open. Below is a picture of the bread that Giusy used.

2) With the loaf split in half you want to score the inside of the loaf with a knife in a checker pattern. If you have an extraordinarily thick loaf you may choose to remove some of the bread from the middle to make room for the toppings inside the sandwich.
3) Liberally apply your EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) to both the top and bottom of the loaf. In the previous step you scored the inside of the loaf to let this EVOO seep into the loaf.

4) Apply the salt, pepper, crushed garlic, dried oregano, and optional dried crushed peppercinis. All of these ingredients are to taste. The final step is to put the loaf back to gether and rub the insides of the loaves together.
5) Apply meat to taste. Tuna, Ham, Turkey, whatever you like.
6) Apply cheese. Mozzarella, Gouda, or Provolone.

7) Apply everything else. Olives, Onions, Tomatoes, Artichokes, peppers, mushrooms, and anything else you wish to be on there.

8)Put the lid on the sandwich, wet the top of the loaf with a bit of water, and wrap it in aluminum foil.
9) Put the whole thing in the oven at 300 for 30-45 minutes depending on the size of the bread you got. If you leave it in the oven too long it will make the outside of the bread become VERY hard. The water 'glaze' is to prevent this.
10) Remove from the oven and slice to desired sizes.
